When I was 13 my parents bought The Beatles greatest hits CD “1”. I was curious and decided to listen to the CD myself. To my great surprise, the songs were much more enjoyable than anything I would normally listen to. I absolutely adored 26 of the 27 songs on the album. For several evenings in a row I secretly took the CD with me to my bedroom to listen to it through my headphones while I was supposed to be in bed.
This experience left me wanting more. In the weeks that followed, I scoured the internet looking for Beatles songs that weren’t featured on the compilation album. I eventually extended my search to similar music. I became very fascinated by music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. And that is still the case to this very day.
In addition to The Beatles I am also a huge fan of Queen, ABBA, The Bee Gees, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and The Beach Boys, among others.
Besides listening to “oldies” music, I also find it relaxing to organize my music collection on album/year. I also really like learning trivial titbits about my favourite tracks and artists.
