Ever since I was a young boy I’ve had a strong fondness for animals of all shapes and sizes. A good example is that I used to collect and cared for snails with great enthusiasm when I was in primary school. As a kid I also had various fish and turtles as pets.
When I left home in order to go to college I took in several rabbits and guinea pigs to accompany me.
In the period 2010 – 2015 I was involved in the breeding of guinea pigs as a pastime activity under the moniker of “Caviastal Cracco” (which roughly translates to “Guinea Pig Farm Cracco”). I found ridgeback and rex guinea pigs especially endearing.
In the same period I also took my first steps towards a career as a web developer. One of my first dynamic websites was therefore a website for my guinea pig farm that I could use to manage its entire administration. In that way I was able to combine two of my greatest passions: IT and guinea pigs. This site is still up in the air.
At the moment I no longer have any snails or guinea pigs. My cosy household currently consists of two cats, one dog and one rabbit.
